Chat GPT 4.5 and Deep Research
I'm experimenting (read, procrastinating) and tested the new GPT 4.5 with Deep Research functionality. I asked it to write a paper proposing a new Agile framework based around github. The result was interesting, a big improvement from previous iterations, although interestingly it came to very similar conclusions. Where I expected it to copy the gimmicky Scrum and Sprint frameworks with a myriad of acronyms and self important leadership roles, it actually proposed a more developer-empathetic system, while also acknowledging potential shortcomings. Note some things were changed, for instance it did not add diagrams to the paper I asked it to set placeholders and generated the images separately. It also didn't suggest creating a full set of training courses and expensive and bloated books, which was.. disappointing. However no doubt a very useful tool for research and education. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/luke-ker-885372182_academic-paper-written-by-gpt-45-with-activity-7307382071495196673-k1qS
